Dried Goji Berries: All of our Ruby Goji dried berries are dried using indoor driers in highly sanitary conditions without using any sulfides. Traditional sun-dried goji rely on the heavy use of sulfides to preserve the berry in unsanitary outdoor conditions, but they still may have high bacterial counts. They are often dried on or near roads which may also expose them to contamination. For these reasons, none of our products are dried outdoors in the traditional way.
Main Use: Snack food, Chinese cooking, Traditional Chinese Medicine, used like raisins in Western baking and cooking.
Packaging: Sold in the following sizes 220 grains/50g, 280 grains/50g, 350 grains/50g, 500 grains/50g. Packaged 12.5 kg per bag with two bags per cardboard box. for 25 kg per carton.
All berries used by Ruby Goji are the best "Ning Qi No.1" variety of goji. This superior variety is a cultivar of the first wild goji berries which history records being discovered on the high plateau of Ningxia along the upper reaches of the Yellow River about 2500 years ago. This variety of goji has the highest levels of polysaccharides – 5-6 percent vs. only 2-4 percent for common goji.
