Q:Please introduce yourself simply. How did you become a bartender? For how long?
S:Hello, everyone, my name is Sherry Gong, I am working in Shakers Bar in Panyu, Guangzhou. It has been 4 years in this industry. At first, I was attracted by the wonderful cocktail, then I took part in THE SOUL BAR and I have insisted on exploring my own career till now.
Q: What conditions you think a good bartender needs? As to you, is there any expects need to be improved?
S: First, a good bartender must have correct career ethics, which was always requested by predecessors; second, bartenders must realize basic knowledge and skills of cocktail; at last, I think good communication and observation skills are needed, because bartenders meet different customers everyday. I think I need to improve my comprehensive ability and make a higher standard to encourage myself.
Q: Do you have ever attended other competitions before? Why did you choose HOSFAIR Cocktail Master Cup?
S: I attended other competitions before, for me, I will take part in more activities as long as it is advantage to advertise cocktail culture, also to improve myself.
Q:How did your DIY cocktail be born?
S: My work “ the Scope of Time”, inspiration was come from a classic cocktail” Old Fashion”, combined with plum powder that ate when I was a child, plum powder---- a snack full of my childhood memory, the two recipes combine together is so special!
Q: What’s the meaning do you think to bartenders by attending competition? What did you get from HOSFAIR Cocktail Master Cup?
S: I can not only improve myself under tense atmosphere and high pressure, but also realize my shortcomings. What’s more, I can meet new friends and masters from everywhere, learn professional skills and knowledge.
Q: Except bartending, do you have any interests? Can you share bartenders’ daily life to us?
S: I like to get-together with other bartenders or friends and share cocktail ideas, sometimes I will go for a trip to different cities, to taste different kinds of cocktail. Otherwise, in the day time, I always go to do some gyms in order to keep healthy, only when I have a strong body can I work hard and achieve the goal I set.
