JOAQUIN REBOLLEDO GODELLO
90 points Jay Miller (Wine Advocate June 2011):
“Joaquin Rebolledo’s 2009 Godello (100%) delivers a lovely perfume of white peach, jasmine, and citrus wrapped around a chalky vein of minerality. Smooth-textured, balanced, and spicy, this pleasure-bent effort is likely to evolve for another 1-2 years and drink well for 5. A tank sample of the 2010 displayed even more expressive fruit. (Jun 2011)”
Producer notes: “A clear lustrous wine with a straw yellow color and greenish tinge. Aroma clean and intense, fruity with a touch of apple, fresh peach and banana. Elegant, pleasantly mild to the taste and with a balanced acidity and body. Post-tasting arousal of intense fruity olfactory sensation. Excellent companion to fish, shellfish, salads and cheeses.”

ALMA DE BLANCO GODELLO
89 points Jay Miller (Wine Advocate June 2011):
“The unoaked 2010 Alma de Blanco Godello (100%) was produced from a single 30-year-old estate vineyard. Fragrant minerals, nutmeg, white peach, and pear aromas inform the nose of a concentrated, mouth-filling, spicy, mineral-laden white. This nicely proportioned, lengthy Godello is an excellent value that will drink nicely for another 3-4 years.”
Producer notes: “Alma de Blanco Godello is sourced from a single 30 year old vineyard. Its aromas of citrus, fresh herbs, and white peach jump from the glass. On the palate, this concentrated effort delivers pit fruit and tropical flavors, plenty of minerality, good depth, and a lengthy finish. Drink it over the next three years.”
