Fir tree and wildflower Greek Honey from Taygetos mountain.
Unfiltered/ unpasteurised raw honey with reddish color and medium-sweet taste
Late in May and June, the Fir trees honey is collected. Mainly red, but sometimes(with cold weather) white(vanilla). Sugars, less than 50%.
Diabetic people can taste some. It is sticky as it contains a kind of gum excreted by the fir trees.
It never crystallizes, and that’s why it is mixed with honeys that crystallize such as wildflowers with golden color, particularly sweet flavor and pleasant aroma.
