Grapeseed oil is oil made from the seeds of the wine grape. It is characterized by being a fruity oil, used cold to marinate meats and to dress salads. Given its high smoke point (216 °C) it is also ideal for use as frying oil. It contains vitamin E and a high concentration of linoleic acid (76%) and linolenic acid. It helps to increase "good cholesterol" (HDL) and to reduce "Bad cholesterol" (LDL) and triglycerides, and it is an ally in conserving cardiovascular health, in the prevention of hypertension, obesity and diabetes. It also contains antioxidants that help to prevent the formation of cancerous cells.
