Norethisterone enanthate (INN, BAN), also known as norethindrone enanthate (USAN) (brand names Norigest, Nur-Isterate, Norlutin enanthate, others), is a steroidal progestin with antigonadotropic (and hence antiandrogen and antiestrogen) effects that is used as a hormonal contraceptive. It is available in more than 40 countries, but not in the United States. Norethisterone enanthate is the enanthate ester of norethisterone.
