Detailed Description:
The floating seal is extruded against rubber ring by collar and floating seal ring to form primary sealing, and then the mating of sealing face of two floating seal rings (by oil film lubrication to allow one ring moving and the other still) to form secondary sealing. Therefore, the rubber gasket and metal ring are equally important to floating seal, and correct and professional installation must be emphasized. Based on the past experience, the installation requirement for floating seal using O-type rubber gasket is slightly higher, so it is normal to observe a little lubricating oil is spilled out from the mating face of floating seal ring external diameter during about one-hour movement for commissioning when it is just installed, which is not oil leakage. After the commissioning, oil spilling will stop. Otherwise, it may be caused by incorrect installation or other reasons. The problem must be concerned and solved.
