EW-39459-14
Small and easy to use— dedicated for measuring cell densities in suspension at 600 nm
Analyze samples as small as 20µL volume
No computer required to operate— fully built-in controls
These portable, light weight, simple-to-use cell density meters are used to measureme densities of E. coli, yeast cells and other biological agents in suspension at the 600 nm wavelength of light.
The instrument has the functions of % transmission (% T), logarithmic transmission absorption (Abs) and also provides an intervalometer for time-lapse recording. The instrument is compact enough to use in smaller spaces such as incubation chambers, anaerobic compartments or other environmentally controlled areas.
A LED provides 600 nm light that is focused to the sample through fiber optic cables to obtain the readings— no warm up time is required. A simple touch panel provides eight separate functions and is easily wiped down in the event of spills.
A USB port is provided to connect to a PC, providing a method to extract data for further analysis. Download results directly to a PC as an Excel™ file ready for use. A fully recharged battery assembly will provide 30 days of operation. The recharge time is 12 hours when the instrument is turned off.
For data collection software, purchase the Spectralax™ PC software separately. The easy-to-use software will automatically prompt you during set up and use and data can be saved into Microsoft Excel™. Spectralax™ is compatible with Windows operating systems (XP, VISTA, and Windows 7 in both 32 and 64 bit versions).
Cuvette photometer 39459-10 accepts standard 10-mm cuvettes or 14 to 17 mm round tubes.
