CALCIUM CITRATE
Chemical Name: Calcium citrate, Tricalcium citrate.
Formula: Ca3 (C6H5O7)2.4H2O Molecular Weight: 570.5
Characteristics: Calcium citrate is white powder, odourless and slightly deliquescence. It’s difficultly soluble in water, practically insoluble in ethanol. When heated to 100℃, it will lose crystal water. When heated to 120℃, it will lose water completely.

Dissolving 1g of calcium citrate in 10ml 2N hydrochloric acid must not liberate more than a few isolated bubbles. |
Applications:
Food preservative: Calcium citrate has been used as a food preservative and flavor enhancer similar to other types of salt including sodium chloride.
Reducing bone loss: The capsules should be swallowed with a full glass of water to allow the pills to dissolve thoroughly in the stomach. The calcium citrate breaks down in the stomach acid, and the calcium is absorbed into the body.
Water filtration: Calcium citrate will bond with the heavy metals. The system is then able to filter out the larger molecules out. The only drawback is there is an appreciable increase in salt content and therefore an impact on taste and people on restricted-salt diets.
Detoxifier: The same bonding that happens to the metal molecules in water also helps detoxify the body of natural contaminants as well.
Packing: 25kg/bag; the inner is food grade plastic bag, outer is PE and kraft papercompound bag.
Storage: It should be stored in dry, ventilative and cool warehouse, kept away from moisture and heat. Furthermore, it should be stored separately from poisonous substance. Avoiding damage to the bags.
