  Skim Milk Powder is made from fresh whole milk which has been standardised, pasteurised, evaporated and then spray dried, containing 1.25% milk fat.  Skim Milk Powder is typically used for its functional and nutritional properties in food and beverage formulations.  The functional properties included water absorption and binding, solubility, emulsification, foaming and browning. It is used in food and beverage manufacture such as Yoghurt, Ice Cream, Confectionery, Sweetened Condensed Milk, UHT Milk and Bakery.

foaming and browning.  Suggested uses include:  
Yoghurt, Ice Cream, Confectionery, Sweetened 
Condensed Milk, UHT Milk and Bakery.
Shelf Life:
Skim Milk Powder is packed into nitrogen or carbon 
dioxide flushed bags and while the bag is intact and the 
product stored in a cool dry area it has a shelf life of 
24 months from date of manufacture.
Storage Instructions:
Skim Milk Powder is shipped in hygienic containers and 
stored in cool dry area in order to maintain the 
functional properties of the product. Milk powders have 
a tendency to absorb odours.
Coding:
Bags are coded with factory registration number, cypher 
number, unit number (plant, line,  pallet),  date of 
manufacture (DD MMM YYYY), and expiry date  (728 
days) (DD MMM YYYY).
