Edam Cheese is a pressed semi-hard to hard cheese, made from cow's milk. It is made from skimmed
or semi-skimmed milk, which reduces the fat content and sets it apart from its near relative, Gouda, which is made
from whole milk. Mild, clean and slightly more delicate in flavour, Edam is a sweet curd cheese usually consumed
young, when the texture is elastic and supple, sweet and nutty with a smooth body.
Applications:
Edam Cheese is suitable for a range of
further manufacturing applications including grating
cheese sauces and cheese spreads. Because of its
good meltability, Edam is a good cooking cheese, but
it is equally at home on the cheese board or in salads.

Shelf Life:
Edam Cheese is vacuum packed into polyethylene
bags and then placed into cardboard wrap around
carton. While the bag is intact and the product stored
in refrigeration between 2-6º Celsius it has a shelf life
of 24 months from date of manufacture.
Storage Instructions:
Edam Cheese is to be shipped in hygienic
refrigerated containers and kept in refrigerated
conditions between 2-6º Celsius.

The cartons are coded with product descript ion (type),
cypher, production date (DD MMM YY), box number
and unit number (plant, line, pallet).
